Born May 17, 1923 in Banks County Georgia, self taught artist Mary Greene shares memories of her life. Mary did not start painting until she was in her sixties. Her images convey the desire to share her life from days gone by. You can tell by the paintings that Mary loves to paint. Each one comes with its own little story, which forms part of the work. Mary's work hangs in the home of former President Jimmy Carter as well as that of Senator Ted Kennedy. She was overjoyed when sometime back, ABC television included her work in a show featuring area folk artists. Please join me in viewing Mary's slide show.
