Barbara Steele Thibodeaux is a self taught folk artist from Louisiana, who has been painting images since early 1990. When an artist in Mississippi bought Thibodeaux's first painting for $12., it inspired her to continue and she has never looked back. The rich landscape and heritage of the Deep South started to appear in her creations. American Primitive Portraits, Biblical verses and scenes from the past became her specialty.
