Jantje Blokhuis-Mulder is a freelance writer and a folk artist.

Jantje Blokhuis-Mulder's first love has always been art and she has been making and creating art for more than 50 years.

Her work reflects her seaside surroundings and her nation's artistic heritage and her paintings, woodburnings and sculptures can be found in private and public collections around the world. She has been featured both in print (Arts and Crafts Canada) and on television in Canada, USA and the UK (WTN, HGTV & LIFE).

Jantje is co-founder of KinderArt.com and is also proud to be a part of an artist-run studio/gallery and a family design and ideas firm called Mulder Slater. She is also an editor for Folk Art Life and the Open Directory Project
